Graphite-Infused PTFE Bushings – A 15% Graphite Blend

Our graphite-infused PTFE bushings offer several advantages similar to regular carbon-filled PTFE, albeit without the heightened wear resistance. The presence of graphite reduces friction coefficients, endowing these bushings with exceptional self-lubricating properties.

These PTFE graphite bushings are characterized by their dark gray color and a hardness rating of 60 shore D. Comprising 15% graphite and 85% pure PTFE, they combine the benefits of carbon, glass, and graphite fillers.

PTFE graphite bushings boast enhanced conductivity and one of the lowest friction coefficients, particularly excelling in soft metal applications. They remain resilient in the face of potent oxidizing media.

The crystalline nature of graphite plays a key role in minimizing wear on soft metal mating surfaces, especially under corrosive conditions. To further enhance this property, graphite is often added to other PTFE blends, resulting in improved wear resistance, load-bearing capacity, and strength.
