PE 1000 / PE-UHMW sheets – Flame Retardant
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene UHMW-PE / PE 1000 is thermoplastic with high molecular weight (as determined by viscometric method).
PE 1000 / PE-UHMW sheets – Flame Retardant is a Self-extinguishing and Antistatic polyethylene which is highly temperature resistant and is suitable for the Mechanical engineering, Electrical industry, and Packaging industry.
Explosion and flammability are significant risks for all types of industries manufacturing flammable goods and in the coal industry.
It is vitally necessary that the UHMW lining is flame retardant in conveyor belts and bunkers. Depending on the product it is possible to enhance the functional properties of the flame retardant UHMW-PE 1000 by means of additives.
Additives inevitably increase costs, but when considering material lifetime and initial lining effort, the advantages of choosing the right material become apparent. There is no halogen and antimony in the flame retardant UHMW-PE 1000. Smoke absorption is minimum.
