Polycarbonate Tube 16/12
Our Polycarbonate Tubes in the 16/12 size offer exceptional quality, outstanding performance, and durability, making them the clearest extruded tubes available in today’s market. These tubes are renowned for their impeccable optics and a surface free from striations, ensuring a perfectly smooth finish.
Polycarbonate Tubes boast optical purity, finding their applications in various sectors, from stand and exhibition construction to furniture and interior design, and most prominently in technical applications like reactors.
While Polycarbonate Tubes are UV stable and weather-resistant, they are not intended for prolonged outdoor use, as extended exposure may cause yellowing.
For architectural lighting projects of the highest quality, our Polycarbonate Tubes are ideal. Our Satin Frost Polycarbonate Tubes provide innovative solutions, particularly suited for lighting and architectural applications. Their white or frosted satin surfaces offer excellent diffused lighting, creating a velvety, non-glare effect.
Polycarbonate Tubes can be customized to your specifications, whether it’s cutting, sanding, or drilling. However, it’s crucial to use the appropriate tools and maintain high cutting speeds with effective cooling to prevent overheating and local thermal stress. Excessive friction, especially with Polycarbonate Tubes, can lead to melting, resulting in a sticky surface and machining difficulties. When drilling, always use a water-based cooling lubricant (such as an emulsion). Additionally, annealing may be necessary to eliminate internal stress.
