PTFE Bushings – 55% Bronze + 5% MoS2 Filled
We are proud to be the producers and suppliers of PTFE bushings filled with 55% Bronze and 5% MoS2. The incorporation of Bronze and MoS2 as additives in our PTFE bushings significantly enhances their creep tolerance, thermal conductivity, and wear resistance, all while preserving their inherent low-friction properties.
Our 55% Bronze + 5% MoS2 filled PTFE compound outperforms glass fiber-filled PTFE in terms of wear resistance, creep resistance, and thermal conductivity. It can be easily machined, although its chemical resistance in the presence of acids and alkalis is rated as good to average. PTFE bushings with this bronze and MoS2 filling are particularly well-suited for applications subject to high mechanical loads or high-speed frictional interactions, with the bronze additive providing strength and efficient heat dissipation.
If your application demands strong thermal and electrical conductivity, our bronze-filled PTFE bushings are an ideal choice. The addition of bronze also enhances wear resistance in these bushings.
It’s important to note that bronze does compromise the non-stick properties and chemical inertness of PTFE. Therefore, it’s crucial to consider whether these characteristics are essential for your specific application. Depending on your specific requirements, materials like titanium, nickel, or stainless steel may be preferable fillers.
Our bronze-filled PTFE bushings excel in wear resistance, especially under high pressures and speeds. However, they are not suitable for electrical or chemical applications.
Our Bronze-filled PTFE bushings are available in a brown color with a hardness rating of 60 shore D. The composition consists of 55% bronze, 5% MoS2, and 40% virgin PTFE.
This blend improves compressive strength, thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity while reducing the risk of extrusion. These qualities make it the go-to material for standard hydraulic applications.
