English name: polyetherimide,
Definition of PEI: a class of polymers with aromatic ether group and imide group as structural characteristic groups, which are directly connected with aromatic imide group benzene ring and repeat unit. It is usually synthesized by nucleophilic substitution polymerization of aromatic diphenol and dinitrodisimide monomer. It is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive properties.

Processing technology
Drying treatment: PEI has hygroscopic properties and can cause material degradation. The humidity should be less than 0.02%. The recommended drying condition is 150℃ for 4 hours.
Melting temperature: 340 ~ 400℃ for common materials; The reinforced material is 340 ~ 415℃.
Mold temperature: 107 ~ 175℃, recommended mold temperature is 140℃.
Injection pressure: 700 ~ 1500bar.
Injection speed: Use the highest injection speed possible.
Scope of application
Because PEI has excellent comprehensive balance performance, effective application in electronics, electrical machinery and aviation industry departments, and used as traditional products and cultural life products of metal substitute materials. Using PEI instead of metal to fabricate fiber optic connectors can optimize component structure, simplify manufacturing and assembly steps, and maintain more accurate dimensions.
