These PMMA acrylic mirrors boast top-tier quality, with an impact strength approximately 17 times superior to regular glass at an equivalent sheet size. They feature an industry-leading protective back coating, ensuring resilience against scratches during shipping and storage.
It’s important to note that the PMMA acrylic mirror surface differs from rigid glass and may exhibit slight visual distortion during use, particularly with larger pieces. Thicker fragments maintain greater optical integrity but are less flexible.
Proper installation and adequate material thickness can minimize visual distortion to some extent, although complete elimination is not guaranteed. Visual blur is a characteristic of the material, not a flaw in the production process.
Additionally, like most mirrors, acrylic mirrors can concentrate and absorb sunlight, creating focused heat areas similar to a magnifying lens. Exercise caution, especially when using highly combustible materials during installation.
