POM-H Polyacetal rods – Delrin
Acetal H (Delrin) Extruded Black Rod is a homopolymer manufactured from Delrin resin. Delrin is a semi-crystalline, thermoplastic with product characteristics including excellent dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, and high wear resistance.
POM-H rods offer slightly higher tensile and impact strength in comparison to Acetal Copolymer Rod. (Natural Delrin rod conforms to FDA21 CFR 177.2470). The long term service temperature range of Delrin Rod is from -50°C to 90°C and has a short term maximum service temperature of 150°C.
Acetal H rods (Delrin®) also give slightly less chemical resistance than copolymer acetal. However, polyacetal POM-H rods from Delrin® are ideal for applications such as small diameter, thin-walled bushings that would benefit from the additional strength and rigidity of homopolymer acetal. Typical fields of application for POM-H – Acetal H Rod include mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, and precision engineering.
Delrin POM-H Rod is a material well suited to billeting, precision grinding, and CNC turning. Similar materials available from us include Acetal C Extruded Natural Rod and Acetal C Extruded Black Rod.
