Glass Fibre filled Glass Fibre filled Glass Fibre filled
30% Glass Fibre Reinforced PEEK Rods
Our PEEK material enhanced with 30% glass fibers boasts significantly improved thermal stability and remarkable resistance to creep and radiation. By incorporating glass fibers into the base PEEK polymer, we’ve created a product that excels at higher temperatures, making it the ideal choice for structural applications requiring superior strength and stability in environments up to 300°F. The glass filler also minimizes the material’s expansion rate.
In summary, our glass-filled PEEK can endure elevated temperatures while proving highly effective in harsh chemical settings, making it an excellent choice for industrial applications, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
30% Glass Fibre Reinforced PEEK Rods exhibit outstanding chemical resistance, standing up to aggressive substances, petrol, oil, and lubricants. Their chemical resistance rivals that of fluoroplastic 4, except for a few select substances (highly concentrated acids, alkalis, chlorine, bromine, fluorine, and sodium).
For instance, PEEK Rods – 30% Glass Fibre filled are resistant to organic solvents at room temperature. However, they are not suitable for use with concentrated acids (sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric, hydrofluoric), methyl ethyl ketone, and nitrobenzene at temperatures exceeding 200°C.
When your applications demand high operating temperatures of 100 – 150°C, as well as exceptional mechanical, hydrolysis, and chemical resistance, especially in the production of high-precision products such as fine-threaded components or small-module gears, PEEK Rods – 30% Glass Fibre filled are the ideal choice for ensuring both suitability and long-lasting reliability.
