Nylon (Nylon), Chinese name Polyamide, English name Polyamide (PA), is a general term for thermoplastic resin containing repeated amide groups – [NHCO] – on the molecular backbone. Its name is based on the specific number of carbon atoms in the synthesized monomer. It was invented by the famous chemist Carothers and his research team of dupont, the largest chemical industry company in the United States.
Nylon series is the most important engineering plastic. The product is widely used, covering almost every field, and is the most widely used variety in the five major engineering plastics.

Nylon plate varieties:
1: Nylon 6 (white) : This material has the most superior comprehensive properties, including mechanical strength, stiffness, toughness, mechanical shock absorption and wear resistance. These properties, combined with good electrical insulation and chemical resistance, make nylon 6 a “universal grade” material for the manufacture of mechanical structural parts and maintainable parts.
2: Nylon 66 (cream) : Compared with nylon 6, its mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance, creep resistance is better, but the impact strength and mechanical shock absorption performance are reduced, which is very suitable for automatic lathe machining.
3: Nylon 4.6 (red brown) : Compared with ordinary nylon, nylon 4.6 is characterized by strong rigid preservation, good creep resistance, and more thermal aging resistance in a wide temperature range. Therefore, Nylon 4.6 is used in “higher temperature areas” (80-150 ° C) where nylon 6, nylon 66, POM and PET do not meet the requirements in terms of stiffness, creep resistance, thermal aging resistance, fatigue strength and wear resistance.
4: Nylon 66+GF30 (black) : compared with pure nylon 66, this nylon is reinforced with 30% glass fiber, and its heat resistance, strength and stiffness. Creep resistance, dimensional stability, wear resistance and other properties are improved, and its maximum allowable temperature is higher.
5: Nylon 66+MOS2 (gray black) : This nylon is filled with molybdenum disulfide. Compared with nylon 66, its rigidity, hardness and dimensional stability are improved, but the impact strength is decreased. The grain formation effect of molybdenum disulfide improves the crystalline structure, so that the bearing and wear resistance of the material are improved.
