PTFE Rods (Extruded)
Our PTFE rods are renowned for their exceptional resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents, making them ideal for use in environments with demanding chemical conditions. With a remarkable ability to perform in both high and low-temperature settings, these rods can withstand temperatures of up to 260°C. They also possess an impressively low coefficient of friction, which is why they are frequently employed in food-contact applications. Furthermore, PTFE rods exhibit good thermal stability and excellent electrical properties. However, they may not be the best choice for applications involving wear, and bonding them can be challenging.
Key Advantages:
- Exceptional Chemical Resistance: PTFE rods excel in their resistance to a diverse range of chemicals.
- Wide Temperature Range: These rods are capable of performing in a broad temperature range, with a maximum service temperature of 260°C.
- Low Friction and Low Adhesion: PTFE rods exhibit low friction and minimal adhesion characteristics.
- Radiation Resistance: They are also resistant to radiation, adding to their versatility.
- Outstanding Dielectric Performance: PTFE rods deliver excellent dielectric performance, making them suitable for various applications.
Please Note:
The largest PTFE rods we supply have a size tolerance of ±5 mm. For applications where precise diameter and roundness are critical, we recommend using grounded or calibrated rods. Our PTFE rods undergo post-extrusion processing, ensuring that the desired diameter and roundness are guaranteed.
Common Applications:
PTFE rods are commonly employed in a variety of applications, including slide bearings, insulators, rollers, and gaskets.
