PVDF is one of the main raw materials of fluorocarbon coatings, fluorocarbon coatings prepared by its raw material has been developed to the sixth generation, because PVDF resin has super weather resistance, can be used outdoors for a long time, without maintenance, this kind of coating is widely used in power stations, airports, highways, high-rise buildings and so on. In addition, PVDF resin can also be blended with other resins for modification, such as PVDF and ABS resin blended composite materials, has been widely used in construction, automobile decoration, home appliances shell, etc
PVDF is mainly applied in the three fields of petrochemical, electronic and electrical and fluorocarbon coatings. Due to its good chemical resistance, workability and fatigue and creep resistance, PVDF is one of the best materials for pumps, valves, pipelines, pipeline fittings, storage tanks and heat exchangers in the whole fluid handling system of petrochemical equipment or in the lining. PVDF good chemical stability, electrical insulation performance, so that the production of equipment can meet the requirements of TOCS and flame retardant, is widely used in the semiconductor industry of high purity chemicals storage and transportation, in recent years, PVDF resin made of porous membrane, gel, diaphragm, etc., in the lithium secondary battery application, It is now one of the fastest growing markets for PVDF.
PVDF is a semi-crystalline polymer with crystallinity of about 50% under normal conditions. Five crystal types, α, β, γ, δ and ε, have been reported so far. They form under different conditions and can be transformed into each other under certain conditions (heat, electric field, mechanical and radiation energy). Among the five types of crystal, β crystal is the most important, and PVDF mainly contains β crystal as piezoelectric and pyroelectric application.
