Our product features a robust composition: a blend of polyamide 6 fortified with 20% carbon fibers. This unique combination bestows the material with exceptional flexural strength and excellent sliding properties. The PA 6 CF20, a 20% carbon fiber reinforced polyamide 6, derives its enhanced rigidity, mechanical prowess, and creep resistance from the carbon fiber infusion.
Not only does this carbon-filled PA6 exhibit lower density compared to other alternatives, but it also boasts improved sliding properties, making it less abrasive than glass-filled nylon. Furthermore, it stands out as a durable, rigid, and robust material with excellent resistance to high temperatures. The carbon-filled Nylon 6 offers impressive temperature resistance, mechanical performance, and chemical stability in comparison to various thermosetting composites.
The addition of carbon fibers significantly boosts heat conductivity, facilitating the efficient dissipation of frictional heat, which is particularly advantageous for sliding applications.
It’s worth noting that our Polyamide 6 Rods with 20% Carbon Fiber Reinforcement do not possess defined surface resistivity, as the carbon fibers are primarily chosen for their reinforcing properties rather than their electrical conductivity. We strike a balance by opting for a 20% carbon reinforcement, avoiding the brittleness that can accompany higher filler content, such as PA 6-CF30. This balance ensures an optimal blend of strength and toughness.
