Polyamide 6 Rods with 30% Glass Fill Polyamide 6 Rods with 30% Glass Fill Polyamide 6 Rods with 30% Glass Fill
30% Glass-Filled Nylon (Polyamide 6) Rods
Our 30% glass-filled Nylon (Polyamide 6) rods are ideal for applications demanding superior compressive strength and rigidity when compared to standard unfilled Nylon. The incorporation of glass fibers significantly reinforces the Polyamide 6, providing stability and rigidity while impacting its non-lubricated wear properties.
These glass-filled Polyamide rods exhibit nearly a 200% increase in strength compared to general-purpose nylon. However, they possess abrasive characteristics that can potentially scratch mating surfaces. The glass fibers, in certain cases, may have a noticeable abrasive effect on these surfaces, making the glass-filled Nylon 6 less suitable for sliding applications.
Our glass-filled Polyamide rods offer enhanced tensile, compressive, and flexural properties compared to standard unfilled PA6 rods. With an elevated load-bearing capacity, they are the preferred choice for applications requiring added stiffness, rigidity, and dimensional stability.
PA6 GF30 rods provide excellent strength, rigidity, creep resistance, and exceptional dimensional stability when contrasted with unreinforced Polyamide 6. These attributes make it a suitable material for machined components exposed to high static loads over extended periods in elevated-temperature conditions, such as mechanical parts and television casings.
