Introducing PEEK Rods
Our PEEK rods offer exceptional chemical resistance, making them a top choice for applications that demand resilience against a variety of harsh chemicals, including aggressive compounds, petrol, oil, and lubricants. In fact, the chemical resistance of PEEK rods rivals that of the polymer fluoroplastic 4, with only a few exceptions (such as highly concentrated acids, alkalis, chlorine, bromine, fluorine, and sodium).
For instance, at room temperature, PEEK rods exhibit resistance to organic solvents, yet they should not be used in environments with concentrated acids (such as sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric, and hydrofluoric), methyl ethyl ketone, and nitrobenzene when temperatures exceed 200°C.
When your applications require high mechanical strength, hydrolysis resistance, and chemical durability at temperatures exceeding 100-150°C, as well as precision manufacturing, especially for fine threads, gears, and other intricate components, PEEK rods prove not only suitable but also provide extended, reliable performance.
If you find that Teflon falls short of your expectations due to shape retention issues, rapid wear and tear, and diminished mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, PEEK rods offer a versatile alternative. Crafted from the adaptable polymer Polyether Ether Ketone, they can replace a wide range of other polymers, many metals, and their alloys. Plus, PEEK rods are compatible with a wide array of environmental conditions.
