PEEK Sheetings
PEEK sheets have excellent resistance to chemicals, including aggressive, resistant to petrol, oil and lubricants. Chemical resistance of PEEK sheets is comparable to the resistance of the chemical resistance of the polymer – fluoroplastic 4 with the exception of a number of substances (highly concentrated acids and alkalis, chlorine, bromine, fluorine and sodium).
For example, at room temperature, PEEK sheets are resistant to organic solvents. PEEK sheets are Not resistant to concentrated acids (sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric, hydrofluoric), methyl ethyl ketone and nitrobenzene at + 200 ° C.
If the operating temperature of the items is above 100 – 150 ° C and high mechanical, hydrolysis, chemical resistance of parts is needed, if it’s necessary to produce high-precision product, including fine thread or a gear with a small module, etc. – PEEK sheets are not only suitable for the application, but will last long time with a high degree of reliability.
Using PEEK sheets is effective if you apply Teflon, and it does not suit very well to you: sailing, does not hold a shape, wear out quickly, demonstrates poor mechanical properties at high temperatures, it is difficult to produce a product of high precision. PEEK sheets are made of versatile polymer Polyether ether ketone that is suitable for replacement of virtually any other polymer, many metals and their alloys, and can operate in virtually any environment.
