Paper peek board generally has the following models:
Peek-1000 (brown gray): peek-1000 is made of pure peek resin. It has good toughness and impact resistance in all peek grades. Peek-1000 can be sterilized by convenient disinfection methods (steam, drying heat, ethanol and y-ray), and the ingredients of raw materials for manufacturing peek-1000 comply with the provisions of the European Union and the U.S. FDA on food adaptability. These characteristics make it widely used in medical, pharmaceutical and food processing industries.
Peek-hpv (black): the result of adding PTFE, graphite and carbon fiber makes peek-hpv a bearing grade plastic. Its superior friction properties (low friction coefficient, wear resistance and high peak pressure limit) make this level of friction application an ideal material.
Peek-gf30 (brown gray): this material is filled with 30% glass fiber reinforced plastic. It has better rigidity, creep resistance and dimensional stability than peek-1000. It is ideal for manufacturing structural parts. It can withstand fixed load for a long time at high temperature. If peek-gf30 is used as the sliding part, its adaptability shall be carefully checked because the glass fiber scratches the mating surface.
Peek-ca30 (black): the material is filled with 30% carbon fiber reinforcement, which has better mechanical properties (higher elastic modulus, mechanical strength and creep) and wear resistance than peek-gf30. Moreover, the plastic reinforced with carbon fiber has 3.5 times thermal conductivity than the unreinforced peek plastic – it can dissipate heat from the bearing surface faster.
Main characteristics of PEEK board: the allowable working temperature in the air is very high (it can work continuously at 260 degrees, up to 310 degrees in a short time), high mechanical strength, rigidity and hardness, high temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance, excellent wear and friction properties, extremely high creep strength, excellent dimensional stability, excellent UV resistance, excellent high-energy radiation resistance Inherent low flammability and less smoke during combustion.
