Polyamide 6 Rods – Fire-Resistant (FR)
Our Polyamide 6 rods, labeled as Fire-Resistant (FR), offer enhanced fire and flame resistance compared to unmodified polyamide (PA). These rods are crafted from a Self-Extinguishing Class polyamide (Class V0 per UL 94) and strictly adhere to the European Railway Standard DIN EN 45545-2: 2013, specifically meeting the stringent requirements of R22, R23, R24, and R26, as well as HL1-HL3.
What sets this fire-retardant PA6 apart is its halogen- and phosphorus-free composition, which maintains high strength, stiffness, and exceptional dimensional stability. Notably, the low density of our Polyamide 6 rods – Fire-Resistant (FR) offers a considerable weight advantage over alternative materials, such as steel.
These fire-resistant PA6 rods exhibit superb sliding properties, outstanding abrasion resistance, and excellent workability, making them a versatile choice for various applications.
Our fire-resistant PA 6 rods are engineered for optimal flame resistance and bring together excellent wear resistance, sliding properties, impressive strength, and remarkable chemical resistance.
These Fire-Resistant Polyamide rods (FR) are ideally suited for the aerospace and railway industries, meeting the highest standards for fire safety. Furthermore, the raw material is UL94 V0 approved, providing an extra layer of safety assurance.
These fire-resistant PA6 rods are frequently employed in electrical components such as plugs, sockets, fuse housings, switches, and lamp housings. They are also the preferred choice for mechanical parts exposed to high temperatures and television casings, offering uncompromising reliability.
