What is PTFE Tape Heat Sealer Tape?
The PTFE heat sealer tape is used over the sealing wire to protect it from film build up which can damage the end product or the wire. Over time, black residue builds upon the sealing wire and causes poor performance. Our coated heat sealer PTFE tape protects the sealing wire from residue build up.
This in general is a PTFE covered glass cloth tape, and heat sealer tape and Teflon tape are general terms. The construction of the heat sealer PTFE tape consists of P.T.F.E, which covers a woven glass fiber fabric.
A yellow release liner has a heat-resistant silicone adhesive on one side. The cloth comes normally in a light to dark brown color.
During heat sealing, the primary reason PTFE heat sealer tape is used is its capacity to withstand heat. It is possible to place the heat-resistant cloth over or under sealing wires which are pushed against on bumpers to create a seal.
Because of this residue which will build upon the tape early or later it has to be replaced. Keeping the tape replaced before the wire burns through it will increase the life of the sealing wire tenfold.
PTFE-coated tapes of fiberglass cloth are used дn most heat sealers around the globe. This means that they can be used for everything from manual heat sealers to completely automatic sealers.
